About
The Full Story
I had done a few remodels in my life up to the point of our home addition. In fact, most large projects I tend to take on myself. Like anyone, I always search for a good price and someone that listens to my design ideas, shares my vision, and excels in communication.

I thought when we hired our GC for our home remodel, we really chose accurately. He seemed to get our situation, and came up with a price that fit into our renovation budget. It wasn't until the birth of our second daughter that I began receiving a multitude of phone calls from subcontractors stating they had not been paid and thus my project went unworked for weeks.

The scariest part of those phone calls was not that they hadn't received payment for their work, but that I had given the GC draw checks for that work. That money was from our mortgage and supposed to pay these subs! As I dug into the problem further, the GC explained that our funds were mixed with another project. That project ultimately didn't get funded. Yep, you read that right. Our life savings went into our remodel and $30,000 of it went up in smoke.

I worked feverishly day and night to complete our remodel so my family wasn't stuck in an incomplete house. I navigated some of the most difficult conversations imaginable with the subcontractors that were stiffed on payments. Finally, I drew legal action against our GC to recover what was stolen from our dream.

I built this business to provide a service to hard working people with similar dreams for their family. Renovating a home is a major stress in life, but choosing a general contractor, that should be simple. You should choose me because I've seen it all, and I've lived it to tell the story.
